Bio
“I am where I come from. Chosen to be who I am. It is my destiny to be favoured by blood, by land, by the gods. The limited chances of being privileged.“
My work is an exploration of the diverse patterns of thought that lie behind every shape we take for granted. Inspired by objects from old memories and past lives, I reconstruct these moments to bring them back to life, questioning the attitudes, fears and unwritten rules that have shaped our environment and our behaviour within it. The challenge is to see beyond the distractions that cloud our perception. I aim to inspire those who encounter my work to look more closely at the world around them, to discover beauty in unexpected places and to question the assumptions that define their reality.
Influenced by a variety of cultures and driven by an unrelenting curiosity since childhood, I explore a wide range of subjects, from the complexities of everyday life and current events to profound explorations of political issues, human relationships, environmental challenges and the quest for freedom in all its forms.
From an early age, I questioned existing norms. My work seeks to uncover the truth by unravelling established concepts and societal norms, challenging and redefining notions of authorship and ownership. How does land become property? How does man become king?
Known for its rich colours and intense emotional moments, my art employs a variety of mediums and techniques to deepen its conceptual impact. The process begins with conceptual exploration and continues through experimentation and refinement, ultimately seeking a harmonious synthesis of form and meaning. At the heart of each piece is a quest for truth and understanding. Deliberately provocative, my work is designed to provoke thought and at times controversy, with the power to either repel or entice.
