Elvis Ain't Dead
Mixed media
120 X 80 X 4 cm
Inspired by Elvis' famous image in the film Jail House Rock, this mixed media canvas depicts Elvis as Vince Everett, a convict who learns the guitar while in prison and becomes a star following his release. The song itself then went onto Presley's biggest hit singles, spending seven weeks at number one on the U.S. charts. However, shortly after the release of the film, the leading lady Judy Tyler died in a tragic road accident. Presley reportedly was so devastated by Tyler's death that he never watched the film or discussed it. This artwork therefore shows a more sombre face of Presley (as opposed to the original image) with his expression changed to reflect his sadness.

F*ck Perfection It Limits Success
Mixed media
100 X 150 X 1.5 cm
This is a mixed media piece inspired by the famous quote from Winston Churchill 'Perfection is the enemy of progress'. Butterflies by their very nature are perfect. Their wings and patterns are perfectly symmetrical. This painting however, by the very nature that it is painstakingly hand drawn, will never be symmetrical and therefore never be perfect. Spanning three canvases 'Fuck perfection...it limits success' is a metaphor for life. Don't try to achieve perfection in everything you do, just do what you love and success will follow.

Heart Of Glass
Mixed media
60 X 92 X 1.5 cm
Adorned with 24 carat gold leaf, this mixed media piece is inspired by 1979 song Heart of Glass where the iconic Blondie does very little else but stand in front of the microphone to sing. The camera pans in and out on her face, occasionally other band members but mostly on her face. Really quite unusual for a pop video to be so limited in imagery, but the bone structure and beauty of Debbie Harry was enough to capture its audience throughout. This image therefore became synonymous with the singer and iconic in its own right.
