Bio
Maureen applies a soulful energy to her paintings of animals, which often includes cats, dogs, bears, birds and moose, and works with transparent layers of oils in unusual colour combinations to express the unique personality of the wide variety of animals on our planet.
As a Canadian artist, Maureen grew up in Northern Ontario surrounded by a wilderness of evergreen trees and glacial lakes. Moving south, she spent a lengthy career as a creative director in Toronto, where she still resides, before taking up oil painting.
