This is a 24" x 18" canvas that is a mixed media spray acrylic an a saturated oil painting finish. Hummingbirds are beautiful, fiery, and have an attitude that all people seem to love. I started off with an acrylic spray-painted background, then moved to oil transparent colors - light to dark, then opaque colors - dark to light.

The name of this painting, Pam's Garden, is in tribute to Pamela Taylor who was a wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, and friend to all she would come in contact with. She was full of love and graciousness found in no other I have ever met. She loved flowers and her garden and I wanted this painting to always remember her by.

This is a 24” x 48” oil painting which I started a few months ago and just finished up. I’m not sure why I took my time on this to finish, but it probably had to do with the fine details I took with the sky and the colors on the rocky shore. I was going to add more to the scene but I loved the simplicity, and kept it as is.
