Bio

I am a self taught Waverley, NS based landscape artist and veteran working in acrylic and watercolour with occasional forays into digital art, pencils and oils. I started my art journey in 2019.

Initially working solely in my studio (closet). I was dragged out into plein air by a friend during COVID and never looked back. I participate in Plein air artists HRM and the Halifax Urban sketchers.

My art was included in the veterans art exhibition UNCONQUERED: at the Gallery George in Vancouver and is currently on exhibition at the Veterans Art Show coincident with the 2025 INVICTUS Games in Vancouver and Whistler BC in Feb 2025.

I participate in plain air exhibitions, the most recent being:
* 2022 Kentville Brush with Nature short brush competition
* 2024 Scott Manor Palettes and Pigments long brush events.

Unframed, signed limited palette 8 x 10 acrylic on canvas. Photo credit to @guidetofaroeislands on instagram. This painting depicts the Dragarnir sea stacks as seen from a cave on Vagar Island. Just imagine how inspiring this view would have been for our early ancestors who might have stopped for the night in that or a similar cave. Currently at the Gallery George in Vancouver for the Veterans Art Show and Exhibition from 5-16 Feb 2025.
