Details: This artwork took part in the MAG Montreux Biennale in 2023. "Rich in gold, but peaceful," Posidonius. This is how the Helvetii of the end of the 2nd century BC were described by the Greek historian. Helvetii (Latin Helvetii) — a large Celtic tribe that inhabited the northwestern part of modern Switzerland. The tribes were engaged in animal husbandry, mined gold, lived in houses on stilts, were able to process metal, spoke their own language, and had their own coins and religion. The raw stone of gold on a black background exactly repeats the shape of the stone of the first painting and is made with the same materials: acrylic, golden leaves, and putty.
