Bio
I grew up in a small town called Mazeikiai in Lithuania. Since I was a child, I used to try every possible creative field, unfortunately I was a very impatient child and later a teenager, so nothing could keep my interest for a long period of time.
I started being interested in photography when I was 16 years old and since then my every choice was towards becoming a photographer.
After graduating high school I got in to Vilnius collage of design – applied photography bachelor studies. Through 3 years of studies I decided to specialize in fashion photography. Unfortunately, I could not get any jobs in that field, so I worked a lot of non creative jobs until me and my husband decided to move to Denmark.
After relocating to Denmark I have worked in a carrot farm and cleaning until one day I have applied for a job at Aarsbilleder.dk as a photo editor/graphic designer – I have been working there for more than three years now.
I began the ‘On the Dot.’ Series through the first Covid-19 lock down. I haven’t touched my camera before that for around 3 years, but one day out of boredom I took it out and started playing with the settings and that’s how I made my first picture that you can see now – it was actually an accident, but it caught my eye immediately, that it can be something interesting. Since it was just an abstract mess I knew that there was something missing, so the image with the dot’s just popped into my head and that’s how my project got it’s full form.
